Food Sensitivity Test

Hypersensitivity and allergy happen when your immune system reacts to an allergenic particle partly by releasing antibodies (Ig). There are mainly two type antibodies related to this type of reactions: IgE, and IgG. IgE is an immediate reactant and promote rapid allergic reactions. IgG is a delayed reactant and is released later. As food sensitivities happen gradually, so the result is usually release of IgG which is a latent reactant. For this reason, we measure IgG for food sensitivities.
